Check with the installers that you are considering it will vary again by their experience and how back logged or busy they are.

Hello, in my experience the lift depends on the make/model of the minivan and the model of the wheelchair. There are an assortment of lifts out there as you might have noticed and most places have them in stock and ready to ship. For a lift that will be able to accommodate a growing child you're probably looking at around $1000+ installation. On a side note those lifts (the Harmar) come with 3 year manufacturer warranty which is longer than most. The first link is to the Americans with Disabilities Act website. The second is to Medicare.
I am assuming you qualify for medicare - but with the new laws - I'd let ADA or the medicare site - or AARP, with a strong advocacy involvement - third link - these sites will have the most up-to-date info.
