The Go-Go Elite Traveller Plus Heavy Duty was designed to bring travel scooters to a greater range of people than ever before. An increase in length, width, and a weight capacity of 325 lbs. combine with wrap-around delta tiller allow both the larger individual and those with limited dexterity to experience the benefits of a travel specific mobility product for the first time. Feather-touch disassembly makes the Go-Go Elite Traveller Plus the easiest travel scooter to take along anywhere.

Electric, economic travel scooter

Great Value
A great value. Very easy to assemble. The only critique I have is concerning the owners manual which needs to be a bit clearer in certain areas. There was a connection to be made which was not clear in the literature but when we called customer support they promptly returned the call and helped us resolve the issue in a matter of minutes. Delivery time was perfect and the delivery man was helpful and pleasant. Functionality as a travel Scooter is as expected. Overall a great value.

Scooter is good - delivery was pits!
Mega Motion 3-Wheel Travel Pal Scooter, Blue was purchased for my mother in law. It is what she wanted, was easy to set-up, and is easy to use. But - very frustrated with the delivery of the scooter as it took more than three weeks to arrive. Advertised as normally ships within 2-3 business days. I ordered on the second and it supposedly was not picked up until the tenth according to the tracking. On-line tracking showed the pick up on the 10th with no updates until arrived in Austin. Actual paper work at delivery indicated that it was not even picked up until sixteenth. Finally delivered on the twenty-third. The price was right but the delivery of this item was less than satisfactory.

good for a starter
This scooter is my first medical mobility scooter, purchased because it was in our price range, which is limited. I am not a tall person, nor do I have long legs, but even I find it difficult to sit with my knees up for long periods because the foot rests are not long enough to allow your legs to stretch. I'd hate to think what a taller person would go through.
It also has a bit of trouble on steeper grades and with the ubiquitous speedbumps one finds everywhere nowadays.
That is the negative. The positive is that it charges quickly, the seat itself is comfortable despite the lack of legroom, and it takes very tight corridors and makes tight turns without complaint.

Travel Pal
The Travel pal is an easy to use powered chair which fits in a trunk. It's heaviest piece is 68 lbs and the other piece is its seat. It folds easily. We like it so much that we own two.

Happy????
So far iam happy with this scooter. So far it is all it was as described to be.The reason I did not give it a 5 was a very small thing. They need to include a parts book or where to buy replacement parts! They also need to tell you what batteries to use and size, With prices. With that I could give it a five rating. The delivery was just excellent and the drivers were very helpful and very KIND!!! So far as long as I had it very good!!

Question : From where to find good mobility scooter?
From where can I find good mobility scooter online in UK? Any ideas? Would be grateful if anyone can answer? Thanks in advance.
Answer:
Hi Aravind C,There are really only three popular mobility scooter brands: Craftmatic, Rascal and Pride. In the UK, Craftmatic is very popular. Therefore, I would first start with their website. Here, are a couple of retailers that sell scooters online although I am not familiar with them personally:http://www.totalmobility.co.uk/ http://www.argos.co.uk/.../c_3/3%7Ccat_10199660%7CWheelchairs+and+mobility+scooters%7C10199666.htmHo pe this helps,Kyle Park

Question : What is the smallest, most easily foldable, lightest, mobility scooter?
I need a mobility scooter which I, as a disabled person, can fold or disassemble, and put in the boot of a car. So I need to find the scooter with the lightest "heaviest piece", if you see what I mean. Any ideas?
Answer:
1. For senior citizens that meet the requirements, Medicare will pay up to 80% of the cost of a scooter and many companies file the paperwork for you. 2. Try this site, they seen to have many types and styles......http://www.1stclassmobility.net/index.php

Question : Mobility Scooter loss of charge and range?
My wifes mobility scooter used to be able to do 15 miles approx on one battery charge, now it will only do half a mile. I have put new batteries on it but this makes no difference. Help would be very much appreciated as she is unable to get out and about without it. Thank you.Batteries are new gel type and are fully charged each time the scoter is used
Answer:
these scooters don't have an alternator. Check the cables on the battery and make sure they are clean and tight and also check the recharger.

Question : Is it compulsory to have insurance for a electric mobility scooter??
Is it necessary to have insurance if one owns a mobility scooter, Is it compulsary or just advisable to have it?
Answer:
Hi just been reding up on this question for my dad. At this moment is not compulsory to have 3rd party insurance for a mobility scooter. I think however it would be very advisable to have such an insurance in case the driver has an accident caused by them, for example on a crowded pavement. Its worth a check with the house insurance to see if it covers this.

Question : Why can't you use an extension lead to charge up a mobility scooter?
I noticed in the manual and on a label on the plug that you cannot attach an extension lead to the charger of a mobility scooter, why is this and what can you do if you cannot get the lead close enough to an electric socket?
Answer:
This is for safety reasons. If you were to use an extension cable you'd have the following risks...1) Fire because: a)the cable may not have thick enough copper and so may over heat. b)the cable may be damaged and so be thinner in one point and so over heat. c)the cable may be coiled and a coil carrying large AC currents will get hot as it's creating and reversing a magnetic field 50 times a second.2)Electric shock - the extension cable or its connector may not be sufficiently insulated - especially if you let it get wet :-)3)Trip hazard...If you can mitigate all of these and are sure there are no other issues then you'll be ok. Possibly the best bet is get someone to install a socket nearer the scooter - or ask the scooter supplier to advise on / supply an extension lead (and don't coil it )
