I know you can get a dui on a bike or skate board, I am just curious. I just happened to see a drunk person opperating an electric wheelchair today. He was all over the place, in the bushes, in the street. I asked him if he wanted help but he said no in a drunken slur. He said his apartment complex was two miles from the bar and he would make it home in his wheelchair. Then he ran in to the curb. I got him up and going again, but he was really weaving.

Hey, You can take it as long as it can go in the hold of the aeroplane - you cant take it into the cabin of the aircraft, so if it folds down and isnt huge (eg taking up masses of space in the hold) you should be fine. The airline should be aware that there is a disabled person travelling and there will be procedures to get the person on the aircraft without your personal means of mobility. They have wheelchairs that can fit down the isles comfortably etc, and at a busy airport like Majorca they'll have provisions to get the person off the plane and to your electric one once its out of the hold. Best bet is to call the Airline and double check, (cos every airline is different) but im almost positive this is the case.

Answer:
wet cell batteries (like car batteries) are not good after 4 - 8 months not being used....the battery acid is sulphuric acid, and the sulphur comes out of it, leaving only water. The sulphur sticking to the plates stops the battery working even if you pt in new acid.Get a new battery. If a standard car one fits, you buy it ready charged. CHeck all the wires and cables are clean and not corroded Wash off corrosion with steel wooll and a mixture of 1 big spoon Soda bicarbonate in a cup of water - wear gloves as the corrosion can sting, (Soda Bicarb is also called baking soda and is about $2 in the supermarket. It neturalises the acid.)

I want to take my family to Disney World. I use this electric wheelchair (scooter) and I wonder if I could take it with me. I think it would be hard for my wife to push me around the parks in a conventional wheelchair. Do the airlines take this kind of chairs? Are the buses that take you from the airport to Disney equiped to take wheelchairs?

Airlines will carry your electric wheelchair or scooter for you as long as it has dry cell batteries and wont leak if it falls over.Plus in the airport they will provide you with a wheelchair and assistance on and off the aircraft if you require, but you need to let them know what you require a few weeks in advance.You can get a wheelchair accessible bus from the airport to the parks / hotels, but again you need to book in advance. The also have taxis that can take a chair.Disney is great for accessablity, they have adapted rooms and all the transport have ramps and lifts, however some of the lifts are only manual chair size.You can also hire wheelchairs and scooters in the actual parks and they are pretty reasonable priced.You can't take scooters on to the rides, but if you need to be in a chiar they will give you one to use.Have fun, its a great place and they are incredibly helpful.
