The blade keeps slipping off the drive wheels.
Answer:
All bandsaws work pretty much the same way.2 or sometimes 3 wheels carry a blade around there diameter. There are 3 adjustments to make on a bandsaw.BEFORE DOING ANY THING UNPLUG THE SAW1. blade tension, For the saw to cut the blade needs to be under some tension,this will prevent it from slipping on the wheels.The top wheel should have a knob on top that may have a spring in it.Turning clockwise will tighten the blade,counter clockwise loosen it. Set the blade tension so slight side pressure will deflect the blade about a 1/4 inch to the side.2. Tracking w/saw unplugged open top cover and spin the wheel by hand,does the blade stay in the same place if so it is tracking properly if not you need to adjust it.There should be 2 knobs on either side of the top wheel.If the blade is moving to the left loosen the right knob 1 turn and tighten the left knob against it.If the blade moves to the left reverse procedure. This may take some trial and error.3.With blade tight and tracking you need to check the guide blocks.On the sides of the blade both above and below the table you will see blocks "they may be rollers" The side guides need to be lightly touching the blade.Directly behind the blade you will find another guide,take a piece of paper move the guide untill it touches the paper between the blade and guide and tighten guide.You want the rear guide to almost touch the back of the blade. You are ready to test the saw. Close all covers and plug in .Turn saw on and of once quickly you may have to readjust tracking.When done sawing release tension on the blade it will last longer.
